I’m Michael Fasulo and I’m a mixed-format photographer based out of New York City.

I discovered my love for photography when I took a darkroom class. I grew fascinated with the process of film, shooting an entire roll not knowing if you had any good images and always being pleasantly surprised when it’s finally processed and looking at my negatives. I would then produce wet prints in my bedroom, which I had blacked out for the sole purpose of making prints. My preference in photography lies in the slower more intentional process as opposed to digital. With a finite amount of frames you really need to make them all count and I enjoy the challenge of that. Another reason why I shoot film is to have something physical that you made out of your idea and your work that’ll easily outlive you.
